Because the other already knows 

The directions our minds go

In sync

Following the same path

Through time and space

Hours pass by in a few moments

Peace and harmony

Easygoing and laid back

A friendship that seems perfect

Without warning

It screeches to a halt

My body jolts forward

Embracing the impact

And then nothing.

Radio silence.

You disappear without a word

And I wonder when we’ll see each other again

My fear is never

As much as I want to control the situation

I know I cannot

I wonder if our friendship was important

To you as it was to me

But in and out

You enter and exit my life

Each time, without a word

As though it were this way all along

Relationships are about unconditional love

Accepting someone for all that they are

Realizing their path is long, just as our’s

Everyone working through something different

Personal growth extends as far as the eye can see

Maybe I need to accept this part of you

Someone who comes and goes
