I get not wanting to vote for Biden. I really do. His values don’t align with mine as well as previous democratic candidates. He’s been accused of sexual assault by multiple women. He will, at best, only inch closer to a more progressive direction. He’s not perfect.

And I get wanting to “shake up the system” by voting for a third party candidate, giving the corrupt two party system, that is terribly inefficient, the middle finger. But I can’t help but think, isn’t it this mindset that got us stuck with Trump in the first place?

It’s sad to say, but if we hope to avoid another four years of catastrophe under a second Trump Administration, we have to vote for Biden. There is no other choice. This goes for Republicans, too. This is bigger than a left vs right thing at this point.

Trump presents a danger to our country. His inability to take his job seriously, constantly changing his mind on global decisions on a whim, dedicating most of his energy to pointless Twitter fights like some immature teenager. It’s embarrassing.

He is unpredictable. There is no telling what he will do next because he doesn’t follow party lines. It’s obvious why liberals hate him, so I don’t even need to go into that, but Republicans should be wary, too.

He is fundamentally changing your party into something entirely different. He makes false promises that go nowhere. He has secret back-door meetings with Putin. He said that he “fell in love” with Kim Jung Un. How does this reflect on you? is this what you think your party represents?

I’m currently reading, “A Warning,” written by an anonymous Trump Senior Official. They detail all of the crazy things that happen behind the scenes in the White House. Trump’s impulsivity, lack of empathy, and selfishness underlie ALL of his decisions. It constantly causes those who work closest with him to shake their heads in confusion and question whether they really want to keep their jobs.

I suggest everyone read this book, regardless of your political leanings.

Please go to the polls. Please vote for Biden. Please try to ignore the fact that Biden isn’t your ideal candidate. He is our only option at this point. Third party candidates are not going to win.
